What does 14-free mean?

Nail polish has traditionally been made with quite a few nasty ingredients and, now that we’re more aware of what these ingredients can do to our health, we’re able to remove them and enjoy a safer alternative (phew!).

In our products, you won’t find any

Formaldehyde Resin
Ethyl tosylamide
Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP)
Triphenyl Phosphate
Animal derived ingredients or by-products
Benzophenones (such as Benzophenone-1)
Styrene acrylates

Are your products tested on animals?

Absolutely not! We are proudly cruelty free which means we don’t test on animals (just ourselves!). We’re also vegan, which means there are no animal products or by-products in any of our products.

Why does it take longer to dry?

Plant based and non toxic nail polish takes a bit longer to dry than traditional nail polish as it has less, or none, of the ‘fast drying’ ingredients that can be harmful to our health. It won’t take long to be dry to the touch, and then it can take approx 12 hours for it to fully ‘cure’ (harden), so please be mindful to avoid smudging.

Where should I store my nail polish?

Store your Poet Polish products in a cool, dry place. No bathrooms, direct sunlight, or fridges please!
